The AFL Auskick (AFL – Australian Football League) tournament runs as an invitational tournament each year during season 1 under the AFL Auskick model. Auskick caters to both boys and girls of any skill level or sporting background.
No previous experience is required as Auskick is not just about football, but also about having fun, keeping fit and socialising with other children. The skills required transfer across many different sporting codes, and the game concept develops classic invasion game principles of teamwork, utilising space and moving the ball.
It is a developing sport in Hong Kong and is promoted through 4 clubs, Hong Kong Typhoons, Kowloon Cobras, Lantau Lizards and the Sandy Bay Scorpions.
