Basketball in the HKPSSA is played as a mixed 5 a side game following the modified rules of the sport. The Island and Kowloon Championships are held at RCHK in February and the Championships are hosted at Kowloon Junior in late March.
The RCHK tournament started in 2012 and the Championship tournament has been held since 2011. Students experience tournament play with short games following a round robin format in pools, culminating in playoffs and final. An All-Star team is selected by the coaches, refs and organiser at the end of the Championship tournament.
