Cricket Championships
HKPSSA Cricket is a mixed boys and girls tournament played across HK island schools and Kowloon Schools. The teams are made up of 6-8 students playing on half a football pitch or similar sized area. The format of the game allows for all students to have the opportunity to bowl, bat and field as a team. Teams play in a Kwik cricket style format, with each team starting with 100 points and runs added for 4s and 6s. Runs deducted for a batsmen being run out, stumped or caught.
Schools compete within their geographical region for the chance to play at the HKPSSA Cricket Championships. Each team gets the opportunity to experience playing lots of cricket with a round robin format culminating in playoffs and finals.
